Current Positions: Flexible Employment Options Available for Care Workers:

We are currently looking for applicants over 21 years of age with a current, full driving licence. Legal requirements are that carers must be 4 years older than the children in their care.

 

We have a range of options available for Residential Care Workers

 

  • Full Time Working Hours consist of 10 x 24 ½ hr shifts per month including sleep in from 11pm-7am. Starting Salary £20,001 pa for applicants under 25 years of age or £21,771 pa  for applicants age 25 or more; depending on experience and qualifications (NVQ/HSC dip level 3 in child care).

 

  • Alternatively 10 x 14 hour shifts per month, no sleep-in, salary pro-rata.

 

  • Other flexible options available: Split shifts for evening work or weekends.

 

  • Bank workers, floating cover staff also wanted - guaranteed hours available.

Teaching Assistant

 

We also require a new Teaching Assistant, to start as soon as possible,due to an increase in pupils numbers. The successful candidate must be able to work with children and young adults with social/emotional difficulties and very challenging behaviours.


We are looking for a person who  has drive and passion and believes the can make a positive change through education.


This is for a full time position, term time only. Experience is not essential but enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are.


Full driving licence required.


Salary £7.92 - £8.65 per hour depending on experience.


Please note that to ensure safeguarding you will have to have an enhanced DBS check.

Residential Care Worker Job Specifications

 

3 Dimensions are looking for experienced/non experienced applicants to take up full/part time and bank positions as residential care workers in our homes, supporting vulnerable young people who have very challenging behaviour and social, emotional and learning difficulties.

  

3 Dimensions have an independent SEN school, two residential childrens homes and one young adult facility which are situated between Chard, Somerset and Axminster, Devon.

 

Applicants need to be physically active and willing to undertake sporting activities. Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are essential. Induction and ongoing training will be given to all staff both experienced and non experienced which will include positive behaviour management for all young people.

 

The young people in our care are in need of stability and consistency in a safe environment, where their behavior management program can be continued by caring staff members, with whom they feel safe and secure.

 

Our homes provide good accommodation with adequate space and facilities for communal times and time alone as needed, where each individual can personalize their room and maintain their cultural identity.

 

Every carer will be responsible for usual daily family chores, including cooking, shopping, cleaning, laundry, car checks, health and safety checks, to provide a safe environment.  Good record keeping and regular team meetings and supervisions will be important to the consistency and quality of care.

 

Family values will be at the forefront for the young people, as they will be at the center of all you do, and first in line for your time.  Helping them to improve their behavior, improve their personal & social skills, hygiene and ability in all areas through formal and informal education underpinned by their individual program.

 

Full Time Working Hours consist of:

 

10 x 24 ½ hr shifts per month including sleep in from 11pm-7am.

 

Salary £20,001.60 to £21,771.00 pa depending on experience and qualifications (NVQ/HSC Dip Level 3 in Child Care)

 

or

 

10 x 15 hour shifts (8am - 11pm), no sleep-in, plus one extra floating shift by mutual agreement. Salary £7.92 - £8.45 per hour depending on experience and qualifications(NVQ/HSC Dip Level 3 in Child Care).

 

or 

 

Part Time and Bank staff pay pro-rata dependent on hours worked. Fleible options including split shifts for evening work or weekends, pay rate pro-rata.

 

On completion of successful 6 month probation the company will fund training and completion of HSC Dip Level 3 if not already achieved.
