On completion of successful 6 month probation the company will fund training and completion of HSC Dip Level 3 if not already achieved for Care Workers.

Part Time Residential Care Worker - Adult Services

Part time residential Care Worker Required for our Adult provision- Ashcroft, situated in Chard supporting young adults.
 
Ashcroft provides a home for three young adults and is rated OUTSTANDING under the CQC inspection framework.

 

All housemates require support within all aspects of their lives due to their Learning disabilities, Autism and Communication difficulties.
The housemates present low level challenging behaviour and a minimal amount of personal care.
 
This position has a fixed pattern over a three-week rolling rota with an average of 41.5 hrs a month, hours are between 9:30-2:30 one week day, and some cover work on the weekend.

 

Starting salary is £5,305.00 to £5,776.00 pro rata, dependant on age and experience.

Full time Residential Care Workers:

3 Dimensions supports vulnerable young people who have challenging behaviour and social, emotional and learning difficulties. You will be working at either of our homes situated in Chard or Axminster.

It is a legal requirement that carers must be 4 years older than the children in their care. All applicants must be over 21 years old and hold a current, full driving licence.

We require:

Two full time RCW’s (working shifts consist of 9 x 24.5 hour shifts plus 1 x 15 hour shift). The rota is a set repeating 3-week pattern.

Two full time floating RCW’s to provide cover at both homes and work the same 10 shifts per month in terms of hours and the rota is set in advance but not a set pattern.

Salary ranges depend on experience and age:

For under 25’s the salary range is £20,900 to £21,333 depending on experience.

Over 25 years the salary range is £22,176 to £23,004 depending on experience.

Applicants need to be physically fit and willing to undertake sporting activities. Enthusiasm to learn is essential and you will be paid to attend our comprehensive induction and ongoing development programme which includes Positive Behaviour Management and Physical Intervention training.

Teaching Assistant (SEN) - To start ASAP.

We are looking for a new Teaching Assistant. If you think you have the drive and passion, and think you can make a positive change through education, then we would like to hear from you as soon as possible.

 

3 Dimensions is an independent special school catering for 7-25 year old pupils.

It is accredited by the National Autistic Society for the quality of its provision. We aim to provide a personalised curriculum and a quality education designed to meet each individual young person’s needs in an environment that is warm, secure and nurturing.


We require a Teaching Assistant who is able to work with children and young adults with social/emotional difficulties and very challenging behaviours.


This is for a full time position, term time only. Experience is not essential but enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are.


Full driving licence required.


Salary £7.92 - £8.65 per hour depending on experience.


Please note that to ensure safeguarding you will have to have an enhanced DBS check.

Purpose of the Role:

To support planning and teaching of individualised curriculum set by teachers. This includes supporting small teaching activities but to also lead 1:1 Learning tasks and running activities and life skills within the community.

 

TA’s will receive training in Positive Behaviour Management. They must follow Positive Behaviour Strategies and must respect client and family confidentiality at all times.

 

This job description will be referred to where necessary during the appraisal process and during any reviews of performance.
